Abstract

This research seeks to define imitation, its concepts, and the development of its word, as much poetry is based on imitation. Poets imitate what exists in the environment to which they belong and the reality they live and imitate. The research dealt with one of the most prominent poets of Arabic literature in general and poets of the Islamic era in particular.  It further examines how the extension of imitation is manifested in his poetry and the possibility of employing religious imitation in his poetic texts.
