Employing Animal Character in Puppet Theater Performances: The Tale of the Rooster Sayah as a model

Abstract
This research handles the study of the employment of the animal character in puppet theater shows. The employment of the animal character means the use of puppets and models to embody animal characters to show human qualities and values through the employment of animal characters that enhance artistic expression and contribute to the delivery of stories and tales in innovative and interesting ways, and contribute to creating communication between the audience and the characters and work to arouse emotions. The study deals with all ethical, cultural and social issues, including tolerance to show the value of diversity and the need for coexistence between individuals, which enhances awareness of interest by the recipient (child). The research included four sections. The first section presents the problem, the importance, and the goal of the research. Also, it contains the definition of terms. The second section consists of two parts, the first is the animal personality and the performance of the representative of the animal personality, and the educational function of the animal personality. The second part deals with the puppet theater, its concept and types. The third section includes the sample and its approach and analysis. The last section sums up results and the most important of which expresses the animal personality for its symbolism for good or evil, animal characters contribute to convey educational values.
