Abstract

This study discusses the poetic biographies of two of the most important contemporary Iraqi poets, the poet Nazik Al-Malaika, and the poet Atika Al-Khazraji. The research dealt with an introductory look at both poets, defining the characteristics of style in each of their poetry, and addressing the creativity of each of them.


It is noticed that the complex style through carrying out an expressive balance, which is reflected in the selection of the form, the selection of the word, and the distribution of words whose choice resulted within the context in which she expressed the richness of the rhythmic lexicon to suggest connotations of influence intended to emulate the emotion of the recipient. The poet used many flirtatious words to express sadness. The poets are considered the most important Iraqi poets who gained great importance in the twentieth century because of their great role in that century.
