The differences between some similar words in the Holy Quran: an objective study
Main Article Content
Abstract
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Master of Messengers, his family and all his companions. As for what follows: -
The issue of differences between similar words is a controversial issue among rhetoricians in the past and present. Is there synonymy in the Book of God - the Almighty - and the Arabic language or not? And if it is found in them, is it little or much? A group of rhetoricians tended to say that synonymy exists in the language in abundance and thus exists in the Qur’an, while another group went to deny its existence in the language and in the Qur’an, and a third group went to deny it from the Qur’an and acknowledge its existence in the language, but in a small percentage. All this disagreement motivated me to lift the veil and show the clear picture of this topic, even if it is a little, so I put my trust in God - the Almighty - and chose a topic that I called (The differences between some similar words in the Holy Qur’an - an objective study). From the previous presentation, we see the opinion of those who say that there is no synonymy in the Holy Qur’an, and it is clear that they are defending the Qur’anic precision that constitutes a bright aspect of the Qur’anic miracle, where the word is a rare, even unique pearl that no other can ever replace, despite the vastness of the Arabic dictionary and the richness of its depths with pearls of words and pearls of vocabulary. This and the synonymy came out of what was mentioned above with other justifications that we will learn about in the folds of the research. If I am right, it is from God - the Almighty - and if I am wrong, it is my own self and its nomination.
