Main Article Content
Abstract
The current research consists of four sections. The first section includes the research problem which is represented by the following question: How do imaginary (fantasy) characters be performed in children’s theater performances? However, the importance of the research was to shed light on the performance of fictional characters in children’s theater performances and benefit those working in the field of children’s theater who are parents involved in children’s drama. While the aim of the research was to find out how actors and fictional characters perform in children's theater performances, the main chapter ended with the terms mentioned in the title of the research. As for the second chapter, it represents the concept and appearance of fantasy, as well as the concept of children’s theater, its types, importance and goals, and the theoretical framework ends with the most important research indicators.
The third section represents the research procedures. It includes the research population, its sample, statistical methods, and the validity and reliability of the tool. The research ends with the fourth section, which includes the most important results, which are as follows:
1- The characters in the play (Princess of Dreams) departed from the physical reality of life, the real world, into the metaphysical, fantasy world
2- The concept of fantasy is linked to imagination and the departure from the real through the characters of the play.
