Abstract

Abu al-Tayyib al-Tabari was one of the imams of his time in jurisprudence, hadith, and linguistics as he was taught by trustworthy sheikhs in various sciences.  He knew a lot of Islamic sciences and others until he became the judge of his time, due to his honesty and knowledge. Al-Tabari is a diverse scientific school, many students of knowledge get so much benefit  from his knowledge, and many scholars graduated from his hands in jurisprudence and hadith, and he was not limited to the above, he was a well-versed poet who wrote  Poetic poems in clear language and interesting style, but these poems did not get their share of collection and investigation like others, so I proceeded to collect his poems under the title (The life of Abu al-Tayyib al-Tabari and the rest of his poetry).  of his poetry) he wrote on asceticism, wisdom and satire, but he did not go out to flirtation and debauchery aa his poetry expressed his commitment to seeking knowledge and religion and his asceticism in the life of this world.
