Abstract
This study, titled 'Artistic Renewal in the Poetry of Bashar Bin Burad (96 AH - 168 AH)', seeks to uncover a specific aspect of renewal that the poet Bashar Bin Burad explored during the Abbasid era. The researchers have carefully chosen a selection of verses and poetic texts from his Diwan, which serve as examples of the places and themes where artistic renewal is evident in his poetry. An analytical descriptive technique was used to track the modernization and transformation of poetry throughout the second century AH. The word 'renewal' was first defined in linguistic and terminological terms, and then, an analysis was provided on the notion of 'artistic renewal' and its connection to Bashar Bin Burad. The research was partitioned into three primary segments: rejuvenation in terms of poetic language, rejuvenation in terms of visual imagery, and rejuvenation in terms of rhythmic structure. The results suggest that the Abbasid period saw a significant shift in Arabic poetry, characterized by the adoption of the 'renewal' approach, spearheaded by the creative innovation seen in Bashar Bin Burad's poetry.
