D'Amato Law and its Impact on US Policy towards Iran, 1995 AD

Abstract
The administration of US president Bill Clinton (1995-1996) signed the Penal Code known as D'Amato or ILSA into force against Iran to prevent it from any action that endangers the interests of the United States of America after it was approved by the US Congress based on a draft presented by the extremist Republican Senator Alfonso D'Amato, under the pretext of drying Sources of support for terrorism, and it mainly targeted the energy sector between the two countries, and as far as Iran is concerned, the United States has worked to impose sanctions on its strategic and military capabilities by isolating it from the international community, and imposing economic sanctions, to limit its military and technical capabilities.
On the other hand, Iranian policy during the presidency of Hashemi Rafsanjani sought to confront the US sanctions policy towards Iran.

-فتحت ايران المجال امام التقدم بعطاءات من اجل تطوير اثنين من حقولها النفطية البحرية امام الشركات الدولية في عام 1994حيث كانت شركة (توتال) الفرنسية على هذا العقد لكن بعد عدة مفاوضات مع شركة كونوكو اجرت عقد معها بقيمة (1,6) مليار دولار اعلنت الادارة الايرانية في 6 اذار قد وافق المرشد الاعلى لإيران علي خامنئي بنفسه على هذا العقد ينظر:

-شركة كونوكو: هي شركة امريكية تأسست في عام 1875 اسسها اسجاق الدريليك تعمل هذه الشركة في مجال النفط والغاز مقرها في اوغدن بولاية بوتا قامت الشركة بتوزيع النفط والكير بين البنزين اخرى في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية وتعاقدت هذه الشركة عدة مرات مع ايران وخصوصا في مجال النفط والغاز ولكنها اندمجت مع شركة كونوكو فليبس في عام 2002. ينظر:
