Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the level of healthy personality characteristics among a sample of university teachers, and the significance of differences in healthy personality characteristics according to demographic variables (gender, university, specialization, academic title). The research relied on the descriptive survey method, and the sample consisted of (545) teachers, male and female, who were selected from three universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, who were applied to the scale of healthy personality characteristics, which is in its final form of (43) items. Its validity and reliability were verified. After analyzing the data using SPSS, the results showed that the level of healthy personality characteristics among faculty members in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in general is signtificant, and it was found that there was no statistically significant difference in the variable of healthy personality characteristics attributed to the variables: gender, specialization and scientific title, while there were differences statistically significant in the characteristics of the healthy personality of faculty members according to the university variable in favor of Salahaddin University. In the light of the results, a number of recommendations were presented to the concerned authorities and some suggestions to researchers in the future.
