The Negative Effects of Visual Media on the Mental and Psychological Aspect of Adolescents from an Islamic Perspective

Abstract
This study aims to explore the depiction of adolescence, namely from a mental and psychological perspective, in the Holy Qur'an and contemporary psychology. It examines the developmental characteristics of this life period, as well as the significance attributed to the mind and soul in the Holy Qur'an and the objectives of Sharia law. This study examines the many forms of traditional and contemporary media. In order to uncover the hidden truths concealed under the facade of aesthetic beauty, one must navigate through several conspiracy theories. This study examines addiction, including its various types, underlying causes, and the potential risks it poses to the mental and psychological well-being of adolescents of both genders. Additionally, it explores how media programs operate and strategize to target this age group, particularly focusing on the most severe and hazardous form of addiction prevalent in our contemporary era, known as media addiction. Furthermore, this exacerbates the notion about the impact of media on the marginalization of young individuals and adolescents from educational and developmental initiatives aimed at fostering their intellectual soundness, mental well-being, and stability. The present discourse examines the transformation of media into a platform that amplifies the voices of individuals without intellectual substance or significance. In contemporary society, it might be argued that the media has assumed the role of a conduit for terrorist organizations and criminal syndicates.
