The Manifestations of the Self and the Other in the Poetry of Olayya Bint Al-Mahdi

Abstract
In my study, I dealt with the dualism of the self and the other in the poetry of Aliya bint al-Mahdi, to shed light on the poetry of the Abbasid feminist Al-Harir.
One of the results of the research is the division of the self into several different types, such as the sad self, the lover, the lover, the ostentatious, the humiliated, the fearful and the sick.
The poet's vision did not go beyond the duality of pleasure and pain, as it reflects pain and pleasure through herself and her vision of the other, and did not hint at the deep philosophical visions of the poet.
The poetess is characterized by poetic shortness of breath through passages, most of which are short. Among her most prominent artistic Features is the prevalence of contradiction, repetition, call, exclamation, simile and sensual images, clear language and easy structures
