Random Housing and Its Impact on Community Services (Baghdad city as a model)

Abstract
The city of Baghdad suffers from the spread of the phenomenon of random housing as a result of several reasons, and it is possible to work to address this problem by following the correct steps and realistic treatments to find alternatives to this housing. The random housing has affected the services provided to the residents of the city of Baghdad as it contributed to the deterioration of the educational, health and entertainment community services provided to its residents. It affects the infrastructure and community services and distorts the urban facade of the city. The spread of this phenomenon from ancient times until our time is evidence of rapid population growth and improper urban policies, which resulted in an imbalance in the system of the urban system in Iraqi cities. In this research, the city of Baghdad was chosen as a model to focus on the most important negative effects left by random housing on services, especially health, educational, and recreational services in 2022. The researcher conducted a field study through a questionnaire form for a sample of 250 people distributed to a random sample of the population. Indigenous city in regular neighborhoods to find out the negative effects left by random housing on the indigenous population and the bad services of all kinds that are provided to them and its inefficiency and seek to develop solutions to achieve fair social sustainability in the future, and to find alternatives to slums.
