Abstract

Arabic is one of the oldest and most ancient languages in terms of history, material, and preservation. Its roots go back hundreds of years, and its language hasn't changed much over time, unlike most other languages. This has led grammarians and scholars of the Arabic language to study, research, and analyze it. A request for clarification and getting rid of ambiguity, disagreement, and complexity in it, which led to many different opinions and grammatical rules in one grammatical issue, led the researcher to choose the subject of grammatical priority and its style in the book of Sibawayh al-Qadi and choosing the best of the grammatical rules to help the people of the Arabic language. The study starts with explaining what grammatical priority is and what conditions and bases must be present. The study further talks about Sibawayh's style of grammatical priority and why he chose one ruling over another. This is one of the most important findings of the study.
