Abstract

Imam Abu Zaraa al-Dimashqi was born in the year (200 AH) and died in the year (281 AH). Imam Abu Zara’a al-Dimashqi - may God have mercy on him - is considered one of the scholars and one of the hadith narrators among Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, and by that the path that he followed and which did not differ from the path followed by the scholars of hadith from the people of al-Jarh and al-Ta’deel, and his moderation in the words that he mentioned and that were studied in this search.


   Sheikh Imam Abu Zar`ah, the hadeeth of the Levant, a collector and a compiler, and a memorizer of memorization, distinguished and preceded his peers, due to his knowledge and the superiority of his chain of transmission.


  Abu Zara'a's scientific and intellectual beginning was the development of his knowledge, sharpening his thought, and developing his abilities and his ability to memorize and listen. And perseverance in educational attainment until tomorrow is one of the great speakers and historians of the Levant. After Abu Bakr Al-Khalal visited Damascus and studied under Abu Zara’a and took from him his book (Book of History) and his other compilations of hadith, he said about him: (  An imam of his time of high rank, Hafiz, knowledgeable of hadith and narrators, and classified the hadith of the Levant unless anyone classified it ). And he was one of the imams of memorization, he traveled to the country and wrote a lot until he became the Sheikh of the Levant and the imam of his time and wrote about him creatively, so he is a proven memorizer.


The nature of the research necessitated dividing it into an introduction, three sections, and a conclusion. The first topic was dedicated to his personal life, and it contained five demands. The second topic included his scientific life, and it contained three demands. The third topic explained the words of the wound and the modification of Imam Abi Zaraa al-Dimashqi - may God have mercy on him - and mentioned in the conclusion. What was mentioned in the research in brief and the results it reached. Then the sources and references in English.
