Social Interest and its Relationship to Future Thinking among University Students

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between social interest and future-oriented thinking among university students. The researcher utilized the Social Interest Scale, which consists of 24 items that are classified into four primary domains, and the Future Thinking Scale, which consists of 47 items that are classified into two primary domains. The features were extracted in order to assess their validity and reliability. The presented data pertains to a statistical analysis that was conducted using appropriate methods. The study's sample comprised of 400 students, both male and female. The research produced the subsequent findings: The observed sample population demonstrates a higher level of social interest in comparison to the standard. There are significant differences in social interest based on gender. According to the acquisition of the research sample for the purpose of advanced contemplation, there are significant differences in cognitive abilities based on the specialization factor, specifically in the fields of science and humanities. There is a direct functional correlation between social interest and future-oriented thinking.
