Iraqi-Moroccan Relations 1956-1978 A Historical Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Iraqi-Moroccan relations are among the distinguished Arab relations, which had clear effects that were positively reflected on the rest of the relations among the other Arab countries. For this reason, these relations were worthy of study and research, and accordingly we chose this topic, in which we tried to shed light on the relations between Iraq and Morocco from 1956 to 1978, and explained the roots of these relations and the extent of cooperation and support provided by Iraq to Morocco throughout its contemporary history and Iraq’s keenness to support the people’s struggle Moroccan even after obtaining his resignation from French colonialism. In March 1956, when the Iraqi government was one of the first governments to recognize Morocco's independence, the situation did not stop there. Rather, the relations between the two parties witnessed a wide and remarkable growth, and it was not too late to support these relations, despite the many political developments in the Arab arena, which would have disturbed the peace of relations between the two parties. However, the keenness of the two sides to continue the bilateral relations between them prevented that.
