Abstract

The current research aims to identify (following the strategy of revitalizing previous knowledge in acquiring Islamic concepts among students of the fourth literary class and developing their systematic thinking) The researchers adopted the experimental design with two equal groups, to suit it with the nature of the research, and the research sample consisted of (56) students who were intentionally selected from the secondary Khadija Al-Kubra for Girls, and this sample was randomly divided into two experimental groups, one of which included (27) female students who studied the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education with a strategy to revitalize the previous knowledge, and another control consisting of (29) female students, who studied the same subject in the traditional way, the researchers were keen before starting to start the experiment on The students of the two research groups are statistically equivalent in a number of variables that are believed to affect the integrity of the experiment, and these variables are: (the students' chronological age calculated by months, the systemic thinking test).

The researchers identified the 13 Islamic concepts, and in light of those concepts, the researchers set behavioral goals that measure the concept's acquisition processes (definition, distinction, application), and the researchers also developed model teaching plans for both groups.

The researchers adopted two tests to measure the variables of their research. As for the first test, it was a test of acquiring Islamic concepts and it consisted of (39) paragraphs of a multiple choice type, and verified its validity, stability and discrimination, as well as conducting statistical analyzes of its paragraphs. The researchers also prepared a systemic thinking test and the test may be in its final form from (20) a paragraph and verified its honesty, consistency and discrimination, then the researcher started applying the experiment and the experiment continued until 9/1/2020 and the results showed the experimental group outperforming the control group in the acquisition of Islamic concepts and systemic thinking test.
