The Demographic Situation of Elderly deaths as a Result of Diseases in Samarra District During 2009 - 2019

Abstract
In the light of the structural and demographic changes that occur in the population’s structures and the related patterns of distribution and growth, this study came to focus on the phenomenon of mortality, which represents one of the pillars of the triangle of population change, along with births and immigration, as it is considered the negative element in Population growth equation. This research focuses on death of elderly people whose ages are about 65 years or more and thus analyze their cases geographically in terms highlighting their spatial and temporal distribution and backgrounds. The study concludes that there is a great variation in the range of death. For example, the highest rate is recorded in Samarra district, while the lowest range is Al-Mu'tasim district. The study shows a variation in terms of gender ratio, as males' deaths exceeded that of females.
