Abstract

This research aims at investigating



  • the level of internet addiction among secondary students.

  • the level of the secondary students' school dropout.


 3-    the relationship between dropout among secondary school students and their internet addiction. The researchers adopted the arbitrary class method in choosing the sample of the study. To achieve the purposes of the study, (450) male and female secondary students were chosen for the sample of the research from Baghdadi-Anbar. The researchers adopted Arnot's (2007) measure of internet addiction which contains (60) paragraphs, and Harith's (2017) dropout measure which consists (30) paragraphs. After achieving the validity and stability of the two variables, the researchers applied the scales on the sample and analyzed the statistical data the (SPSS). The research concluded that:



  • the secondary students have an average level of internet addiction.


 2 - the students have an average level of dropout.


3 - there is a relationship between internet addiction and school dropout of the sample studied. According to the research results, the researchers recommended a number of recommendations and suggestions.
