The Physical Manifestations of Arabs’ Civilization before Islam: Perfume and Incenses as Examples

Abstract
According to the date and components of civilization, which reflect a reality and appropriate to the nature of their lives. It was the social aspect of perfumery which were divided into three types. Some perfumes were made from animal sources which was the most precious kind of all perfumes and others were made from herbs. The other type was consisted of a mixture of the two previous types. These filled the Arabs’ markets. There were kings who had caravans which worked in the trade of perfumes. Some of these perfumes were used for perfuming the hair, the beds, or the body. This trade
became a manifestation of the Arabs upgrading and progress.
