The Science of Interpretation by Muhammad Nuwi al-Jawi (D: 1316) by his Interpretation (Merah Labid to reveal the meaning of the Glorious Qur'an)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The scholars have simplified their words in the science of interpretation and there are no limits to their jurisprudence in defining it, every world knows it as it sees fit and accurate and close to the Meanings of the Qur'an, and looks from a different angle from another angle that another interpreter may see as more accurate and correct, they said in the science of interpretation: is the science of the descent of the verse and its sura, and then the order of its makka and its civilian, And its arbitrator and its similarity, its limitations and its whole, and its generality and especially, and they also said: It is a flag forbidden to the Surah and its halal and promise and promise, and through it and its likes and end it.As for al-Jawi (May God rest his soul), he did not declare in his interpretation a linguistic or conventional definition (for interpretation) but! We were able to conclude this through his interpretation of the verses in which this term is mentioned. He stated that the explanation is the revelation and the statement, which is synonymous with the linguistic meaning of it. He mentioned the interpretations, which affected ibn Abbas (May God be pleased with him), where he stated that the four aspects of the interpretation are: an interpretation that the Arabs know from her words, and an explanation that no one excuses for his insinceration, and an interpretation that only God knows. And an explanation that scientists know. As for the types of interpretation in terms of its sources, it was divided into the interpretation by the adage: which is all that is stated in the Holy Quran or in the Year of the Prophet (¹) or in the words of the companions and followers, and it was indicative of the purpose of Allah almighty from his book, it includes the interpretation of the Qur'an in the Qur'an, the interpretation of the Qur'an in the Sunnah, and the interpretation of the Qur'an in the words of the companions and followers, and al-Jawi (May God rest his soul.) This type of interpretation may be more than this type of interpretation in his book, in addition to the interpretation of opinion: it is the jurisprudence of the interpreter with some of the rules that the interpreter needs, this kind of interpretation prevailed over the interpretation of al-Jawi, especially since he quoted it from the interpretation of Razi, whose interpretation is one of the most important books of interpretation in opinion.
