Abstract

Literary criticism constitutes an important aspect of literary studies, as it has become an inescapable necessity. In order to nourish and develop the literary text with various aspects. In this midst, the critic Abdullah Muhammad Al-Ghadhami proposed his cultural critical project, trying to answer the questions that literary criticism was unable to give satisfactory answers, and the latter in its perception is no longer captive to the search for aesthetics. It has become a vehicle in the genealogy of the cultural body. Which is composed by culture, and marketed through multiple and varied platforms called cultural tricks, which are the tricks that Al-Ghadhami seeks to uncover and show through cultural criticism, and from which emerged Al-Ghadhami's interest in marginalized and non-aesthetic speeches from the perspective of Arab culture, such as television culture, or media discourse, As it is no longer easy for Arab critics and those interested in describing them as the role model and the elite to whom they attribute the failure of the Arab in achieving the alleged modernist project. Al-Ghadhami believes that it should absorb a project with this audacity that seeks to build the Arab self, by destroying the cultural systems that have been rooted and established by institutional thought, and this makes the contrast apparent and clear in receiving Al-Ghaddami’s project, and for this reason this research aims to reveal critical thinking towards the project of cultural criticism Al-Ghadhami.
