Abstract

The concept of political Islam or its approaching concepts often brings to mind the extremist religious groups and is limited to them exclusively, while political Islam in its reality includes a wide sector of the Islamic religious current that extends from the center of the left to the far right, while the Moroccan Justice and Development Party's experiment is a different model. As for the rest of the Arab Islamic parties and movements in the so-called Arab Spring, and perhaps the nature of the monarchy in Morocco had an influence on the strategy with which the party dealt with the Arab revolutions. The revolutionary option was not on the agenda of the "Justice and Development" party when the Arab revolutions began. Rather, reform was the alternative that the party proposed in its statements and the statements of its leaders.
