The position of the Gulf Cooperation Council States on the Iranian Nuclear Program from 1991-2016

Abstract
The Middle East region witnessed a nuclear arms race among several countries, and each of these countries justified the development of its nuclear programs according to its own goals and the internal and external circumstances it is going through. For example, Iran justified its development of its nuclear programs for peaceful purposes and its need for renewable energy to support its economy, while The United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries saw that Iran is carrying out secret programs for the purpose of obtaining nuclear weapons in order to create a regional and international balance for it. All of this prompted the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to take several steps to stand up to these nuclear programs, the first of which is to invest its alliance with the United States and push it to pursue Iran in forums. The international community and economically besieged for the purpose of stopping the work on these programs, and sought to support nuclear programs in other countries, especially Pakistan, which launched the Islamic bomb to gain Islamic support in the face of the Israeli-Indian nuclear program, and the attempt of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to develop nuclear programs and set long-term plans from In order to maintain its security in the face of the challenges it faces.
