Employing Theater in the Political Upbringing of the Arab Child
Main Article Content
Abstract
Political education occupies a very important place in society and the political system. One of the most important and paramount tasks of political upbringing is its support for national unity and the consolidation of the spirit of national integration that is often eroded in countries that are marked by multiple languages, races and religions. The presence of the correct political upbringing in a country with ethnic, ideological and sectarian differences greatly contributes to healing the rift of national unity, not to mention its contribution in embodying a strong sense of national identity.
Political upbringing in general is defined as a complex process concerned on the one hand with conveying political information, values and viewpoints of parents, teachers, places of worship, comrades, and various media, especially the visible ones. On the other hand, it indicates the growth of the child's ability to understand the political environment in which he lives.
Children's theater has an important role in raising the child, shaping his personality and exploding his abilities and behavior, as it is one of the most important ways to reach the mind and conscience of the child. The study aims at presenting the concept of children's theater, its characteristics, its objectives and its development on the Arab Miao and the most prominent problems faced by children's theater. The study reaches a proposed conception to activate the role of children’s theater in raising the Arab child in line with the Arab cultural context and commensurate with contemporary trends in the development of children's theater.
