Abstract

The study aims to examine the aesthetic discourse presented in children’s theatre. The study, furthermore, aims at answering the questions of how does the mechanism of aesthetics operate on the stage and how does visual image become capable of motivating the recipient (the child) and attracting him to the theatrical performance. These issues are tackled in three sections. While section one explores the methodological framework, section two entails the theoretical framework which is tackled according to two domains, namely the image and its visual presentation. This section handles the representation of the image in child theater and examines the employment of the visual elements directed on the stage, the factors of attraction and excitement of the visual image and its structural effect in the design process that contributes to the suspense process.  Section three analyzes theatrical tools according to the data and indicators of theoretical framework. Finally, the researcher recommends the establishment of courses and training workshops for students, and interested people in the field of the study.
