Abstract

It is known that the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) has received great attention among the companions who conveyed the task of re-telling Al-HAdith, as they served the Sunnah a great service. They preserved it from distortion, forgery and mixing.

They took great care in transmitting the narration, which led to the occurrence of doubt on the part of many narrators as a result of their eagerness to transmit the hadith as it is, and to protect them from narrating the hadith with meaning.

The skepticism from the narrators, especially the trustworthy ones, is evidence of their caution in transmitting the narration as he heard it, without performing it with meaning.

This research studies the words that the narrators doubted in the body of the hadith, and it has an impact on the doctrinal aspect, or jurisprudence, or what has to do with people, time, place, and so on.

This study is a conceptual introduction to review the concept of doubt.

As well as also it attempts at clarifying the reasons that lead to doubt, with the inference for each of those reasons, then explaining its types, and presents a clarification of the relationship between doubt and the cause.
