Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the impact of the STAD strategy on the achievement of fourth-grade literary students in the subject of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education and the development of their consensual thinking. To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher formulated three hypotheses subjected to experimentation. The current research was limited to fourth-grade literary students in the city of Mosul in Nineveh Governorate, for the academic year (2021-2022). The researcher used the experimental design with two equal groups with a pre and post test, which includes an experimental group studied according to the STAD strategy, and a control group. The research sample consisted of (63) students chosen by the researcher intentionally from the study community. They were divided into two groups, with (32) students in the experimental group, and (31) students in the control group. The researcher rewarded between these two groups in a number of variables, including : The chronological age calculated in months, the intelligence test, the parents’ academic achievement, and the degree of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education for the third intermediate grade, A test of combinatorial thinking . The achievement of the research goal was prepared by the researcher himself, because there was no ready test in the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education for the fourth grade literary and harmonic thinking. The validity and reliability of the test, and after the completion of the research tools, the researcher applied the experiment and it took an entire semester, and when the data was statistically processed, the following results appeared:
1- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students of the two groups in the achievement test in the subject of the Noble Qur’an and Islamic Education and in favor of the experimental group.
2- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students of the two groups in the harmonic thinking scale in the post test and in favor of the average of the experimental group.
3- There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre and post harmonic thinking scale in favor of the post test.
In light of the results of the research, the researcher made the following recommendations and proposals: The necessity of using modern teaching strategies, including the STAD strategy, in teaching the Holy Qur’an and Islamic education at all academic levels, and conducting a research to find out the impact of the roundtable strategy on acquiring Islamic concepts for students of the fourth literary class.
