Abstract

The cycloid personality is considered a temperamental trait in individuals, characterized by instability and fluctuation in behavior, emotions, and feelings. Individuals with this type of personality may rapidly shift from elation to distress, from activity to lethargy, and from excitement to inertia, often abruptly and without clear justification.


Given that sensitivity to rejection is a psychological condition characterized by an excessive fear of being rejected or ignored, even in response to subtle cues. Individuals with high sensitivity to rejection often interpret others’ actions as personal rejection. They tend to be emotionally fragile and moody. This study aims at the following: 


1.Identify cycloid personality in parents of autistic children.


2.Identify sensitivity rejection in these parents.


3.Examine gender differences in cycloid personality.


4.Examine gender differences in sensitivity rejection.


5.Explore the link between cycloid personality and sensitivity rejection.


The study reached the following conclusions:


1- Parents of children with autism have unstable personalities.


2- They exhibit high sensitivity to rejection.


3- Significant differences favor mothers in personality cycloid personality and sensitivity.


4- There is a correlation between cycloid personality and Sensitivity to rejection.


The researcher presents recommendations and suggestions.
