Abstract

    Self-efficacy is one of the important variables that researchers seek to know its impact on the personality of individuals in general and teachers in particular. The researches selected the variables of her research using the descriptive method. The current research aims to know the level of the self-efficacy and its relation with the innovative personality of the professors of Kirkuk university. The search tackled professors in both sides humanitarian and scientific specialization.


  The researcher selected a sample of 200 professors of both sexes. Two tools were prepared to measure self-efficacy and innovative personality. After verifying the validity and reliability of the two scales, the required data were obtained from the research sample and were analyzed through the statistical package (SPSS). The results showed: that university professors enjoy high levels of self-efficacy and innovative personality. Also, here are differences in the innovative personality variable among professors with scientific specialization. It is noted that there were no differences in this variable according to the variable of sex, and also there were no differences in the variable of self-efficacy according to the variables of sex and specialization as well as there is a positive correlation between the two variables among the sample members.


   The researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals in the light of the findings of the research, which will be discussed in light of the research objectives.
