Morpho-climatic Processes in Wadi Umm Shabait Basin
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research area is located in a mountainous region that moves forward into a desert to the north. Due to its exceptional location, this site is highly suitable for tracking and assessing the effects of geomorphological processes in the region . Understanding these processes is crucial for accurately interpreting and comprehending the land's formation, evolution, and topographic features. The land in the research region is shaped by a combination of morpho-climatic processes, including physical and chemical degradation, as well as morpho-dynamic processes like water and wind erosion. Satellite technology and support from the American Space Agency (NASA) were utilized to collect data, along with the establishment of a virtual climate station in the research area.
