The Poetry of the Cemetery of the Living: Yusuf ibn Harun al ـ Ramadi as an Example

Abstract
This research is concerned with the Andalusian literature in fourth century in the era of the caliphate. This paper handles prison poetry taking the poet Yousif bin Haroon Al-ramady as an example. This poet learned the art of literature in 389 AH. The period he lived in flourished and it was called the golden age. Al-Ramadi was able to compose a lot of poetry inside the prison to express the feelings of the prisoners. This is the majos subject of the present study.
