Abstract

Since the fourth century AH, Muslims have been interested in codifying the history and beliefs of nations. A number of classifiers have begun to codify religious phenomena, and how they appear, whether heavenly or positive, due to the importance of identifying and reviewing them in order to distinguish and compare between true and false religions. Including Abu al-Hasan al-Masoudi, he compiled many works on the sects, the bees and the history of religions, but most of them have been lost, but in his famous book “Morouj al-Zahab” a description of a number of religions, especially the positivist.

So we opted, the writing affected this modest and tagged research: (Abu Al-Hasan Al-Masoudi (d. 346 AH - 957 AD) and his description of the man-made religions through his book “Morouj al-Zahab”) in order to identify Abu al-Hasan al-Masoudi and highlight his scientific and cultural personality, and explain his description of the religions and man-made beliefs included in his book “Morouj al-Dahab” , which is considered one of the best Arabic works that combined history, news, and geography, and explained the conditions and beliefs of nations, their customs, and their religious traditions. Al-Masoudi was able to link the science of history, geography and religions, Because many religions have believed in natural and cosmic phenomena in a belief that is contrary to scientific truth, so they took the planets, people, animals, and cosmic phenomena as gods that they worship instead of God. Al-Masoudi was able to falsify and invalidate their false beliefs and perceptions, and that what is being portrayed are illusions and false illusions that are not based on sound scientific and rational evidence, And that what science and inference prove is worthy of acceptance, and for this it was clearly shown that Al-Masoudi differed greatly from other scholars who were classified in religions through his presentation of information related to religions. A person of sound mind accepts it.
