الملخص
لا شك أن نجاح المجتمعات البشرية في البقاء يعتمد بشكل أساسي على قدرتها على التكيف للأوضاع المحيطة بها, ومقدرتها على اجتياز ما يعترضُها من أزمات, والتي تفرض عليها تحدياً مصيرياً, من خلال اثبات إمكانيتها على مواجهة ذلك الخطر. وذلك ما سنشرع بالبحث فيه عند الصليبيين في بلاد الشام, إذ تميز عصرهم باكتظاظ الأزمات وتراكمها وتأثيرها المباشر على المجتمع؛ لذا تصدت فئة من الصليبيين لهذه الظاهرة, وحاولت معالجتها بوسائل وطرق مختلفة.
إذ تعد ظاهرة أزمات المجاعة من أهم الظواهر التي تعاني منها المجتمعات البشرية منذ القدم, لما لها من أثر بارز على الوجود الإنساني. فالأنسان دون غذاء لا يستطيع العيش. لذا كان لابد للمجتمعات البشرية أن تعمل على درء ومعالجة ما تواجهه من أزمات غذائية قبل استفحال خطرها, من خلال تحشيد ماتمتلكه من امكانيات وجهد وتوجيهه نحو تلك الأزمات بهدف القضاء عليها, أو محاولة الخروج بأقل الخسائر على أقل تقدير, وهذا ما سنبحثه في المجتمع الصليبية في بلاد الشام من خلال هذه الدراسة.
