الرئاسة الثنائية في كنيسة المشرق قبل الاسلام دراسة في أوضاع كنيسة العراق خلال حقبة الانشقاق والفوضى (523-539م)

الملخص
تتناول هذه الدراسة أحداث الانقسام والرئاسة المزدوجة في كنيسة المشرق السريانية خلال الفترة ما بين (523-539م) والتنافس القائم بين الجاثليقين نرساي واليشاع على الرئاسة وأبرز التطورات التي مرت بها الكنيسة أثناء ذلك ، إذ إن كنيسة المشرق واجهت مشكلة كبيرة نتيجة انقسام رجال الدين النصارى على أنفسهم في تأييد أحد الجاثليقين ، فقد أدت المصالح الشخصية دورها في تأجيج أحداث هذا النزاع وبقي النزاع قائماً إلى أن توفي نرساي ومحاولة اليشاع الاستحواذ على الرئاسة ولكن تدخل الدولة الساسانية المتمثلة بالملك كسرى انوشيروان حال دون وقوع ذلك إذ تم عزل اليشاع لسوء سيرته مع النصارى واعتزال جماعته عنه فتم ترسيم بولس بتأييد الملك كسرى انوشيروان وانتهت الرئاسة الثنائية وتمت اعادة الوحدة للكنيسة ولكن اثار النزاع بقيت قائمة لقصر فترة رئاسة بولس ، كما إن فترة الرئاسة الثنائية كانت طويلة بما يقارب خمسة عشر عاماً كرس الطرفان جذور الانقسام بين ابرشيات الكنيسة وحتى بين عامة النصارى الى ان جاء الجاثليق مار آبا الكبير وازال اثار الرئاسة الثنائية.
