الملخص
إن الحقبة التي عاشتها الدولة العربية الاسلامية في ظل أمن واستقرار مستمر فسحت المجال بأوسع ابوابه أمام طلبة العلم والعلماء من كافة الامصار, فقد توجهوا صوب بغداد بعد أن انتشرت أخبار الرعاية والعناية الفائقة من لدن الخلفاء للمجالس العلمية والمناظرات التي حضرها الخلفاء بأنفسهم ومعهم الوزراء والامراء والولاة .
بعد أن أكملت الدولة كافة متطلبات الحلقات الدراسية , من المساجد والمدارس والزوايا والخانقاة مزودة بمستلزمات الدراسة والمعيشة من رواتب وأطعمة وحتى أماكن السكن الملحقة بها , بعد كل ما وفرته الدولة من احتياجات ورعاية انتعشت الحركة العلمية والفكرية وسمح للجميع من علماء وطلبة علم وعامة الناس , من طرح ارائهم وأفكارهم بكل حرية وتقبل من جميع الاطراف وفي شتى صنوف العلم.
تضمن البحث العنوان وملخص باللغتين العربية والانكليزية والمقدمة , شمل المبحث الاول المجالس العلمية العامة والخاصة , والمجالس العلمية في عهد مجموعة من الخلفاء ابتداء من الخليفة المأمون ومجموعة ممن جاءوا بعده , فيما حوى المبحث الثاني المناظرات العلمية التي حضرها الخلفاء بأنفسهم , ابتداء من الخليفة المأمون ومجموعة من الخلفاء ممن جاءوا بعده أيضاً, تلتها خاتمة البحث ثم هوامش البحث وقائمة المصادر والمراجع
