Abstract

The Effect of the Perkins and Plaith Model on the Development of Logical Thinking among Middle School Students in Social StudiesThe current research aims to identify: The effect of the Perkins and Plaith model on developing logical thinking among middle school students in the subject of social studies). To ensure the achievement of the research goal, the researcher developed the following alternative zero hypotheses:
1. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (05.0) between the mean scores of the experimental group who studied the subject matter of social studies according to Perkins and Plaith model and the control group that studies the same subject according to the usual (traditional) method in the test of logical dimensional reasoning and in favor of the experimental group.
2. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (05,0) between the average differences between the scores of students of the experimental group who studied the subject of social studies in the pre and post test of logical reasoning and in favor of the post test.
