Self-determination skills among university students

Abstract
The current study aims to explore the level of self-determination skills among university students, statistically significant differences in self-determination skills according to gender (male – female), and statistically significant differences in self-determination skills according to academic specialization (scientific–humanities).
The two instruments were administered to a research sample of 300 male and female university students, selected through stratified random sampling based on gender (male – female) and academic specialization (scientific – humanities) for the academic year 2024–2025. The results revealed the following: university students possess a high level of self-determination skills. There were no statistically significant differences in self-determination skills based on gender. There were statistically significant differences in self-determination skills based on academic specialization, in favor of students in the humanities.
