Abstract

The present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on constructivist theory in improving the performance of students in the Department of Islamic Education in the subject of Quranic recitation (Tajweed). To achieve this objective, a proposed instructional strategy was adopted and applied to a sample of 48 male and female students, who were divided into two groups: an experimental group that was taught using the proposed strategy, and a control group that was taught using traditional methods. Upon completion of the experiment, a post-test was administered, and the data were analyzed using the t-test. The results revealed statistically significant differences in the post-test scores in favor of the experimental group, indicating the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in enhancing students’ performance in Quranic recitation.
