Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify the causes of low achievement among the students of the fourth literary grade in the subject of geography from the point of view of the students and how to treat them in the light of the objectives of the educational process .
In order to find out the most important problems that affect their achievement, the researcher had prepared a scale of 15 items with 5 alternatives, in which a student chooses the alternative that he considers the reason for the low level. The research covered four schools for the displaced students in Erbil Governorate on Monday to 4th January 2021 and included (10) students from each school who were selected according to the marks they obtained in the semester exams. After examining the students’ answers to these items, it was found that there are various problems that the student suffers from inside and outside the school, which have a major and influential role in the low level of his academic level in the subject and in different proportions.
