Geographical distribution of wood industries in Salah al-Din Governorate

Abstract
Wooden industries are one of the branches of manufacturing industries, which highlight their importance at the level of Iraq in general and Salah al-Din Governorate in particular because of their important role in supporting the national economy, attracting the workforce and their importance in attracting various production requirements and filling the needs of the local market of the governorate.The study examined the geographical distribution of wood industries in Salah al-Din Governorate, as the distribution included a set of criteria: (number of factories, manpower, capital, machine costs, land area, building area, value of wages). There are (142) factories in Salah al-Din Governorate, all of which are affiliated with To the private sector, the number of employees there reached (519) workers, with a capital of (2,947,750) billion Iraqi dinars, and the cost of machines and equipment amounting to (978,150) million Iraqi dinars, a land area of (31,944) m2, and a building area of (26,464) m2. The average value of labor wages reached (4,554) million dinars per month.The size of the wood industries (industrial quantity) was also discussed, which aims to show the quantity and importance of the industry, as the wood industries in Salah al-Din Governorate were represented by three categories, namely the fifth, sixth, and seventh category of industrial size categories.
