Abstract

The Moroccan-Ottoman relations constituted a field of study for historical studies due to their importance in the relations between the East and Morocco in the light of the civilizational communication between the two regions, in addition to other considerations, namely that the Ottoman State believed that it was the main leader of the Islamic world protecting it from foreign dangers. Moreover, it was able to extend its influence over many regions, east and west, but the Far Maghreb considered itself a single entity independent of the Ottoman authority.

The nature of the research necessitated dividing it into two sections. In the first section, the researcher dealt with the general Moroccan political and economic conditions and the conditions of the Ottoman state. The second section deals with the political relations between the Moroccan and Ottoman states, and the diplomatic relations between the two parties.
