Abstract

This research aimed to investigate job satisfaction among male and female teachers in government schools for high-achieving students, considering the variables of gender (males - females), specialization (scientific - humanities), and years of service. The primary research sample consisted of 119 teachers selected using stratified random sampling from educational institutions in Salah Al-Din Governorate, comprising four schools, two located in the center of Salah Al-Din Governorate, and two in Samarra district. A systematic sample was drawn from all the schools to achieve the research objective. The researcher used a ready-made tool to measure job satisfaction developed by Abbas (2021), which consisted of 22 items with five alternatives (strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree) distributed across five dimensions. The researcher ensured the apparent validity of the tool by presenting it to a group of experts, including specialized professors in educational and psychological sciences. The reliability of the tool was verified using two methods: the Cronbach's alpha coefficient and test-retest method, where the Pearson correlation coefficient reached a significant value. The data were statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), which included various statistical methods, such as Pearson correlation coefficient, one-sample t-test, and independent samples t-test.
