Abstract

The research aims to
1. Building a proposed training program based on the theory of cognitive flexibility for history teachers in middle and high schools.
2-Know the impact of the proposed training program on effective presentation skills for history teachers.
3-Know the impact of the proposed training program on the achievement of student teachers who were trained on the training program.
The research community included all intermediate and secondary schools in the General Directorate of Salah al-Din Education, whose number is (243) schools, and the number of teachers (875) and the number of students (38,918) The research sample consisted of (41) teachers and schools, and they were randomly divided by lot into two groups. Experimental (21) and control (20). As for the student sample, it consisted of (301) male and female students (the experimental group teachers sample) and (275) male and female students (the control group teachers ’sample, A training program based on the theory of cognitive flexibility is built for history teachers. An observation form was prepared that included effective presentation skills for history teachers. It consisted in its final form of (14) activities distributed into (63) items with three levels (A, B, C) (weak, medium, good), The difficulty factor, ease, discriminatory power, effectiveness of false alternatives for its paragraphs , and its validity and stability were calculated. The researcher also prepared the items of the achievement test, which numbered (25) purposes, and the test items were chosen of the type (multiple choice) with three alternatives. In analyzing the results, the researcher adopted the Mann-Whitney test, the Lucoxin test, and the T-test for two independent samples and two correlated samples.
