The Effect of the Difference in the Metaphorical Narrative in Taj al-Arus: The Verbs as a Model
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Arabic language is one of the richest and oldest languages, with its unique characteristics and features at the level of vocabulary and syntax. It has received attention from many scholars and researchers in order to preserve its pronunciation, free from errors of intonation and dialectal influences. The Arabic language, like other languages, reflects the speech of its native speakers, and it is the language of the Quran, which brought the language together and led to the compilation of dictionaries to preserve its words from errors of pronunciation.
Research and study of dictionaries from a morphological perspective is still limited compared to the morphological studies of Quranic interpretations and Quranic readings. Since my interest lies in the study of Arabic morphology, I decided to choose the dictionary Taj al-Arus for my research. The nature of scientific research requires that it be divided into two chapters, preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion that summarizes the most important results. The first chapter is titled "Differences in Morphological Narration between Verbs of Type I and Type II", and the second chapter is titled "Differences in Morphological Narration between Intransitive and Transitive Verbs". Note: "Taj al-Arus" is a famous Arabic dictionary written by Muhammad Murtada al-Zabidi in the 18th century. "Al-Zabidi" is the author's name.
