Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program to reduce echolalia in children with autism spectrum disorders. The research sample consisted of 16 children with autism spectrum disorder who were divided equally into two groups, one is the experimental and the other is the control group. The research tools were represented in echolalia scale prepared by the researcher and the training program prepared by the researcher. The results showed the effectiveness of the training program in reducing echolalia among children in the experimental group compared to children in the control group. The results also indicated the continued effect of the training program in reducing echolalia among children in the experimental group.
