Abstract

Elegy is a prominent theme in Cameroonian Arabic poetry. The poet Khalil Hammadou is Among the prominent and leading poets of contemporary Cameroonian Arabic poetry, who have been successful in innovating in Cameroonian Arabic poetry. This research aims to conduct a stylistic analysis of Sheikh Khalil Hammadou's elegy for his colleague and friend, Dr. Musa Ndjidda. The objective is to highlight the most significant features of the poet's emotional expression, to present a vision of the poet's ability to evoke beautiful artistic imagery in his poetry, and to explore the characteristics of the art of elegy. The study is organized into an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion. The introduction defines stylistics, its origins, and development. The first section provides a historical overview of the poet, while the second section examines the aesthetic features of the stylistic structure in the elegy. The conclusion summarizes the main findings and provides recommendations.
