The Imagery and Metaphors in the Poetry of Hind Mohammed
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research focuses on the study of imagery and metaphors in the poetry of Hind Mohammed. The study is divided into two main sections. The first section discusses metaphors, further divided into two parts: explicit metaphors and implicit metaphors. The second section is titled "metonymy," covering its definition both linguistically and terminologically and its use in the poetry of Hind Mohammed.
The study reveals that the poetess relies on harmonious and balanced rhymes, which add an external musical rhythm that aligns with the general feeling of the verses. The research uncovers the use of various rhetorical images, such as explicit and implicit metaphors and metonymy, which deepen the expression of emotions and feelings. The poetess's skill in employing symbols and allusions adds artistic dimensions to the texts. The thesis concludes that Hind Mohammed's poetry is characterized by a diversity of styles and multiple levels, making it a rich subject for stylistic analysis. The study relies on primary sources such as the poetry of Hind Mohammed, which is the main focus of the research, and other significant works like "The Two Crafts" by Abu Hilal Al-Askari and "Lisan Al-Arab" by Ibn Manzur. The research concludes with a list of sources and references.
