Abstract

The research aims to quantify the extent of population concentration and distribution in Sulaymaniyah Governorate for the year 2022. This is achieved by analyzing discrepancies among the administrative units of Sulaymaniyah Governorate concerning the locations of population centers and their respective populations, as well as calculating the percentage variations between these focal points. The objective is to identify spatial anchor points and their trends through spatial analysis techniques for geographic phenomena within the study area, utilizing the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program environment.
