Main Article Content
Abstract
This research is the subject of polygamy (obligatory polygamy). It is one of the jurisprudential questions that are frequently asked about, and there is a lot of talk between those who are prohibited and forbidden and issued a variety of fatwas from all parties, so we wanted to write in this topic to show the total of the comments received and discuss them to reach the correct opinion. This research is divided into three chapters:The first topic: legality of polygamy. The second topic: The wisdom of polygamy. The third topic: When must polygamy and when it is desirable. After this tour, I summarized the main findings in this research as follows. The legality of polygamy is derived from the texts of the Qur'aan and Sunnah, meaning that it is valid for all times and places.Any divine legislation involves a rule that we know and some are ignorant of, and the wisdom of counting wives is very great.Polygamy is subject to the provisions of the five marriages, which is obligatory, and is permissible, permissible, and forbidden.Polygamy becomes obligatory when there is imbalance in nature because of the frequent loss of men and the large number of women, which necessitates the work of polygamy for the sake of women, and the use of them in education and birth.
